The site was part of the Piccadilly Village project stage 4 and had been previously had consent in 2006 and 2014, with proposals developed by different architectural practices working for different clients. 2006 Scheme proposal was submitted in 2005 and approved in early 2006, and comprised of 16 apartments in apartments in a 9 storey building.
2014 Scheme most recently proposed 34 apartments in a 13 storey building, and was approved in March 2016. As works did not subsequently commence, the permission was not implemented and lapsed in March 2019.
5plus have sought to learn from and improve on the approaches of both previous consents, to address the need for quality, contemporary living spaces on the site, whilst reﬂecting the latest local and national Planning policy.
